Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. Ana Rolaça Costa, born in 1983 in Silves, is a visual artist who stands out for her works that explore fundamental issues related to corporeality and identity. With a critical look at social norms, the artist seeks to celebrate the true essence of the human being through her paintings and collages.
The artist's works address a fight against imposed beauty standards, serving as a manifesto that questions social norms. Through her art, she provokes deep reflections on the devaluation of identity and the feelings of inadequacy that many face. The artist's vibrant compositions, with visceral forms, capture viewers' attention and invite them to reflect on their own experience.
Ana Rolaça Costa's trajectory is marked by several phases that reflect her creative evolution. Until 2011, his exploration of “perceptions of the body” stimulated discussions about self-image. The subsequent phases, “púdica granatum” and “beautiful rawness”, brought out carnal and vibrant tones. In her most recent works, such as “beetroot and other things” (2023-2025), she incorporated natural elements, symbolizing rebirth and transformation.
