The oil painting titled "Don't Extinguish Yourself" portrays a compelling still life that metaphorically speaks to the resilience of the human spirit. Two candles, each set within its own mug, provide the focal point of the composition. One candle stands erect and lit, its flame casting a warm, radiant glow that illuminates the surrounding darkness. The other candle, unlit, appears melted and spent, its wick bent and blackened, suggestive of a light that was once present but has since been extinguished. The mugs are rendered in subdued, earthen tones, with the texture of their ceramic surfaces palpably conveyed through the artist's skilled use of light and shadow. The contrast between the two candles is stark, symbolizing perhaps the dichotomy between hope and despair, or the continual human struggle against the darkness that seeks to overwhelm. The background is awash with shadowy hues, merging into the darkness that encroaches from the edges of the canvas, threatening to envelop the scene. Yet, the lit candle stands as a beacon, defying the darkness with its persistent glow. The way the light diffuses into the surrounding space can be seen as an allegory for steadfastness and determination in the face of adversity. A. Varvarov is one of the of the art commune "Squat on Olehivska", which emerged in the early 90's. The association was a non-profit view of art and demonstrated an innovative approach to the interpretation of contemporary processes in society. Artists did not limit themselves to the walls of galleries and museums and became known for their social actions. Performance installations and flash mobs.

Anatoliy Varvarov embodies emotionality, clear focus, and the philosophical nature of a traveler. The richness of the color palette, delicacy of pastel shades, and contrasting color combinations create harmonious and intriguing artwork.
