Andrey Simakov, a contemporary Russian artist, was born into a family with a rich tradition of woodcarving art, providing the early influences that would shape his artistic journey.

After completing his secondary education, Andrey enrolled in the Bogorodskoye Art College, specializing in decorative woodcarving art. It was during his studies at the art college that Andrey's interest in drawing and painting began to flourish. His exploration of these mediums laid the foundation for his future artistic endeavors.

Graduating with honors from the Art College, Andrey Simakov continued his academic pursuits at the Moscow Teachers Training University, focusing on fine arts. Here, he delved into the realms of water-colored drawings, painting, and composition, honing his skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. Furthering his education, Andrey pursued similar courses at the Academy of Art named after Repin in St. Petersburg, deepening his understanding of various artistic techniques.

Presently, Andrey Simakov serves as a teacher of drawing and composition at the Abramtsevo Art College, contributing to the artistic education of aspiring talents. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, Andrey remains an active participant in art exhibitions across Russia, showcasing his evolving body of work.

Andrey's artistic contributions have transcended borders, with many of his works finding a home in private collections in the USA, , and Great Britain. His art reflects a harmonious blend of traditional influences and contemporary expressions, creating a unique narrative that resonates both locally and internationally.
