Throughout his career, Baojian Yu has received recognition in numerous national exhibitions. His watercolor piece Iron Tree and Silver Flowers was selected for the China Watercolor Exhibition in Hangzhou in 1995 and was published in renowned magazines such as Watercolor Art and Color Collection. Another significant work, Spring Snow, was selected for the Fourth National Watercolor and Pastel Exhibition and was included in the National Art Textbook for Seventh Graders, published by the People's Education Publishing House.

In the realm of New Year paintings, his work Abundance Every Year won the Gold Prize at the Tenth National Art Exhibition and was featured in Fine Arts and Chinese Painting & Calligraphy News. It was also included in the national art textbook for sophomore high school students.

Baojian Yu’s dedication to New Year paintings is further reflected in his collaborative piece Fragrance of Fruits Spreading Thousands of Miles, which was selected for the Sixth National New Year Painting Exhibition.
