I worked as an Intensive Care Psychiatric Therapist for thirteen years and received lots of annual training on infectious diseases. I'm not a virologist or anything like that, but I'm not completely ignorant either. I don't know how it's been where you are, but here in 'Blue-state America, the official reaction to the pandemic has been crazy to the point of criminality. I am confident that when more rational minds study our actions in the future, they will find that we unnecessarily increased the death toll by two or three-fold, by following the government scientist's advice. At this point, that means four to five hundred thousand people.
The government of China bears most of the blame. While they were shutting their country down, they were exporting people infected by the disease and were, and still are withholding critical information from the rest of the world.
But my country, America, shares equally in the blame because, in all probability, they financed the research that created this pandemic. In the upper left you'll see a portrait of Doctor Fauci, the principal "expert" my government relied on in shaping its response. Barak Obama, (you've heard of him?), put a ban on America ing the research that it appears created this virus. Fauci found a way to work around that ban and funnel funds to the Wuhan Lab without his violation being noticed. He had previously stated that he considered a global pandemic to be an acceptable risk to take to continue this research. You may be able to internet search the details and the many other violations of moral, civil, medical and legal practice that have gone on in the US, but if you don't live here, you probably have other problems to deal with.
The American socialists, organized mostly under the Democratic Party has used this pandemic as an excuse to impose governmental mandates and colluded with communications companies, the teachers unions and Democrat controlled state and local governments to silence any scientific debate on options for reducing the impacts of the disease, and to generally undermine and destabilize American society. Almost every step they have taken has worsened the impacts of the plague and/or curtailed freedom, and every step appears to have been designed to advance and secure the power of the Democratic Party and the centralization of power in the national government's hands.
But they haven't been altogether successful. Some states have exercised their autonomy and stood up to the national government, and in those states the crisis has been lessened. November 2022 is an election day for Congress and tin the states and most people have been waiting for the outcome of that election to overthrow the Democrat's attempt to overthrow our system.
Besides Dr. Fauci and Death following his lead, In the foreground a citizen is being intrusively probed by a puppet whose brain is the Democrat controlled media, and whose manipulators are two robots representing businesses and local authorities that have been programmed by the Left. In the upper right you can see a line of golden robots that represent mutual society of American oligarchs that believe that their influence on the internet and entertainment industries will enable them to become a shadow government, controlling the national government and the brainwashed American people.
One way or another, America is likely to change significantly and that will cause ripples elsewhere.

Edwin Loftus is an American painter and draftsman born in 1951. His interest in art began at the age of 4 when he decided to draw something real rather than working from his imagination.

As a child he excelled at drawing and as a teenager he began to experiment with oil painting. In college, he took courses in art and art history and realized that true art had nothing to do with the quality of the drawing or painting, but that it had to have the ambition to push the boundaries and expand the visual experience.

He also studied philosophy, psychology and history and quickly realized that it was just another art establishment trying to defend its elitist industry and reward system. Their skills were almost non-existent, they knew nothing about psychology, perception or stimulus response, and they were extensions of the belief system that made communism, fascism and other forms of totalitarianism such destructive forces in the world. They literally believe that art shouldn't be available to ordinary human beings, but only to an elite "sophisticated" enough to understand it.

Edwin Loftus realized that the emperors of art had no clothes, but they were still the emperors. Gifted in art, he worked hard to acquire this skill. So he found other ways to make a living and sold a few artworks from time to time. For sixty years, many people enjoyed his works and some collected them.

Today, Edwin Loftus is retired. Even if he sold all his paintings for the price he asked, "artist" would be the lowest paid job he ever had... but that's the way it is.  It won't matter to him after he dies. He just hopes that some people will like what he does enough to enjoy it in the future.
