L'opera "Noce Moscata" fa parte della Collezione "Battaglia per le spezie", frutto di 2 anni di studi artistici e storici. La Collezione è stata esposta in 2 Mostre personali: la prima è stata allestita presso il Museo del Presente di Rende in Calabria e la seconda presso la Pinacoteca provinciale di Potenza (Basilicata). La televisione italiana RAI Tg3 Basilicata ha dedicato un servizio alla Mostra e la Pinacoteca ha deciso di acquisire una opera.
Noce Moscata: all'inizio cresceva solo nelle Isole Molucche ed i portoghesi e gli spagnoli controllavano che non avvenissero vendite di contrabbando. Giovani germogli, pronti per essere smerciati, venivano abbattuti, e sfortunati indigeni frustati o uccisi; solo grazie allo zoologo olandese Temminck divenne chiaro che non avevano nulla a che fare con la crescita delle piantagioni illegali, naturalmente create da piccioni verdi, uccelli tipici dei luoghi, che portavano nello stomaco i semi di queste piante.
