Helena Pellicer Ortiz was born in 1975 in Barcelona. She holds degrees in Arabic and Hebrew Philology, as well as Film Direction. She spent years at the Centre d'Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya working on various artistic projects in the pedagogical field. She worked as an assistant to the director and as an editor on Héctor Faver's feature film Invocation (LVII Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica. La Biennale Di Venezia 2000).
