The imaginary, a notion specific to man, is decorrelated from nature and its exploration is limitless. It is this incorporeal material that François RIGLER explores. It is this incorporeal matter that (FR) explores. His creation tries to give a contradiction of his reality, or to underline the tears of it rather than to represent the visible of the outside world.Currently, FR enriches its technicality within the framework of an academic teaching on graphic art.

Very personal, his creation is the result of research on abstraction, organic and geometric shapes and single or mixed colors, arranged in flat areas in a two-dimensional space. He works on a refined palette of ocher, grey, black, blue: sometimes illuminated with a simple stroke.Between drawings, collages, paintings, everything is movement, energy, spontaneity in his compositions where the gesture remains close to expressionist abstraction. His travels, his daily journeys, his visits to exhibitions or museums, his readings on the history of art and his research work on different materials nourish his creations.
