Work in homage to Camille Claudel's Petite Chatelaine
What would the work of the Petite Châtelaine be in the collective mind if it were to disappear?
Fascinated by the ephemeral, the artist Evin Tison composed his creation in homage to Camille Claudel's sculpture based on this question: what trace do we leave when we create?
It is above all the emptiness that Camille Claudel felt when sculpting the bust of this little girl, when she had suffered a miscarriage and abortion, that Evin wanted to draw inspiration from.
He thought of transcribing the sadness and pain that the sculptor may have felt in front of this young model who was posing. Through a play of gaps and trompe l'oeil reflections, Evin exposes
his idea of the disappearance of a child. Thus, on this white marble base in reference to the material of the original work, there remains an empty space surrounded by four mirrors, the number four corresponding to the quantity of existing realizations of the Little Chatelaine that Claudel sculpted. These same mirrors reflect the young chatelaine, as if she were present in the center of this pedestal. But this is not the case, she is nowhere to be found.
The images themselves are floating on one-way mirrors, inviting the spectator to contemplate them from the outside, where he can also see himself, thus plunging himself into the work and into his own memory that he creates by observing it. But it is indeed inside that the magic operates and that an infinity of reflections is revealed, thus mixing all the faces of the sculpture photographed by the artist.
These ghostly images approach iridescent and phantasmagorical colors similar to fragments of distorted memories of the original sculpture. As if, after the disappearance, the memory is altered to leave only transformed images of reality.
The base is hollow in its center, worked as Camille did, by hollowing out the bust from the inside to accentuate even more the feeling of unease possibly felt. However, the base brings a light like a glimmer of hope that would sublimate
the memory of this bitter feeling that is loss. Because as they say, only time alleviates sorrows and pains by transforming them into burdens slightly less painful to bear.

Evin Tison is a young artist who first started out in fashion and haute couture. His very colorful universe can be read through abstract pictorial works that seem to come straight from a parallel world where unreality and reality overlap.
Evin Tison discovers very young a vocation for the artistic universe. He completed a course in applied arts at first, then specialized as a fashion designer.
Evin confirms, through his professional experiences at Courrèges, Iris Van Herpen and Viktor & Rolf, his enthusiasm for innovation and art mixed with clothing.
Through his vision without borders on the creative disciplines, Evin evolves towards a global project combining fashion, contemporary art, design and photography, which transcribes his perception of the world by playing with the optical vibration in the juxtaposition of colors.
