Faramarz Mokhtarpour is a contemporary Iranian painter with a lifelong ion for art. From early childhood, he was drawn to painting, capturing his perceptions of the world around him. His early work with watercolor and gouache earned him numerous first prizes in national painting competitions.
In 1982, Mokhtarpour's family circumstances and academic aptitude led him to pursue a medical degree at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. He graduated as a medical doctor in 1989 but maintained his artistic pursuits throughout his medical career. Mokhtarpour used every spare moment to observe, draw, and paint, guided by contemporary masters, art textbooks, and inspiration from nature.
