“Amorphous structures” - it's a series of works about emotions, associations, conscious alienation from the familiar, about deep feelings. Organizing chaos, like an algorithm of the creative process, displaces randomness, becoming an expression of creative vision, where elements of disorder serve as a component of expressive art. Illya Mykolayovych Trofymchuk is a contemporary Ukrainian artist and sculptor, known for his innovative approach to fine arts, particularly in abstract and intuitive sculpture. Born in 1987 in Arkalyk, Kazakhstan, Trofymchuk has been based in Lviv, Ukraine since 1994, where he lives and continues to create.

Trofymchuk's artistic journey began with formal education at the Lviv Academy of Arts College of Applied and Decorative Arts (KIPDM LAM) from 2004 to 2008, specializing in the Faculty of Artistic Metal. Since graduating, he has dedicated himself to mastering the art of metalworking, refining his skills through techniques such as welding, casting, mechanical polishing, and blacksmithing.

From 2019 onwards, Trofymchuk has developed a substantial body of work comprising over 50 steel pieces organized into 4 distinct series, including 6 large-scale sculptures. His works are characterized by a proprietary technique that blends various metalworking methods, resulting in sculptures that are both technically refined and artistically compelling.

In 2023, Trofymchuk achieved significant recognition with two major solo exhibitions: one at the National Library of Latvia in Riga, Latvia, and another at the LITEXPO Exhibition Center in Vilnius, Lithuania. These exhibitions underscored his growing prominence on the international art scene and showcased his ability to captivate audiences with his distinctive sculptural language.

For Trofymchuk, art serves as a transformative tool, allowing him to channel creative energy into creations that transcend temporal boundaries. His sculptures stand as testament to his artistic vision, embodying a harmonious blend of craftsmanship, innovation, and profound conceptual exploration.
