Ioannis Filippopoulos was born in 2004 in Athens and lives there.

His systematic engagement with painting began through his apprenticeship in the field of Byzantine painting. In particular, he was taught the technique and style of Byzantine painting and has created works with the egg tempera technique, with powdered colors.

From his high school years, he began his education . He was taught design and the influences of light-color and the reflections on objects, as well as the way in which they influence each other, and also the solutions that they have been given to these issues by artists of the past.

He mostly works in the field of figurative painting. He explores and experiments with different types of painting, techniques and materials. His artworks are characterized by diligence in the structure and synthesis of the individual elements and by their color boldness and strength, sensitivity and lyricism. In several works he follows the trend of "Non Finito", seeking to provoke a dialogue with the viewer.

in September 2022 he took part successfully in the entrance exams of the School of Fine Arts of Athens and is currently a  student.

He has participated in collective exhibitions in Athens. He represented Greece in the XIV Florence Biennale , 14-22/10/2023.

His works have have been added in private collections
