Isabela Menegazzo is a contemporary Brazilian sculptor whose work explores the relationship between space, form and image. Graduated in Visual Arts and Design (Brazil), with master’s degree in Cultural History, her artistic background brings her closer to a design approach in art, migrating from interior design to sculpture, finding in it a profound form of expression. For her, sculpture materializes emotion, bringing a new perspective of meaning to public and private spaces.
It was in clay sculpture that she found her strength and trait. The soil, damp and generous, is her source and inspiration; it is the soil that provides the material from which she imagines and creates metamorphosed beings, which acquire strength as she explores and incorporates into her images the shapes that her hands desire and are capable of creating.
