Los tonos ocres y tierras utilizados, así como el tratamiento de claroscuro, contribuyen a establecer una atmosfera que resalta la nostalgia y la conexión con objetos antiguos, que, aunque obsoletos y anticuados, mantienen un valioso apego emocional a la familia del pintor.
La disposición de dos cubículos de librería dentro de la obra crea una dualidad interesante. Juan Manuel Alvarez Cebrian is a contemporary Spanish artist known for his figurative and sometimes realistic style. His preferred mediums include oil, watercolor, charcoal, and graphite, but his ion lies in engraving, which he finds to be an exciting and dynamic technique. He began his artistic career exhibiting in Spanish galleries around 1990 and ed the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid as an art copyist that same year.
