In this version (100f2), I have lightened the image considerably, and raised the contrast so only highlights of the falling water are seen, and I've tinted the water yellow to give a sunny daylight feeling to the work (though the original image as taken at night, lit unevenly by large floodlights under the falling water, which I found distracting from the beauty of the continuous curtain of falling water the fountain presented). I've also increased the contrast of the foreground water in the reflecting pool to such an extent that it turns pure white in the crests of the ripples, and pure black in the shadows of the troughs of the ripples, which ,by contrast, emphasizes the sense of the falling water as one continuous curtain.

Please note - due to Covid-19 limitations still affecting me, delivery will take about 3-4 weeks depending on destination country

Ken Lerner is a ionate photographic artist, born into a family of renowned photographers. He began taking photos at the age of 6, using a camera given to him by his father. But he was not interested in simply reproducing real life moments. His vision was more subjective and he sought to project an internal reality of that moment.

At the beginning of his career, he almost exclusively created images with multiple exposures. This gave a complex structure to the images and represented a subjective view of the world. In the 2010s, after working in financial product sales, he returned to photography producing only single exposure images. Even though they were less structurally complex, they still represented a subjective view of the world, being almost totally abstract. Ken works extensively with reflective surfaces such as water, glass and metal.

A lover of the beauty of nature, Ken Lerner paints and photographs a lot of landscapes and seascapes. He is interested in presenting different possibilities of representing "nature" and often produces many variations of an image with different colors, shades, contrasts and saturations.
