Cascading Water 100d5a is an abstraction of water in a fountain on 6th Avenue in NYC. There are quite a few versions of the main image (Cascading Water 100), each limited to 3 prints in each version. In this version (100d5a), I have increased the contrast , but also the exposure, so the blacks of other versions are eliminated. have tinted the splashing water yellow and aqua, but the surrounding water of the falls itself, and the water in the reflecting pool, a deep brick red which gives a surreal feeling to the work and may even provoke a subliminal connection with blood.

I am offering this version in 2 ADDITIONAL SIZES -- 17” H x 24” W at 1000. AND 21.2” H x 30” W at $1500. - If you want either of these sizes, use the "Make an Offer" option (in the box below the price listing) at $1000. (for 17” x 24” size) or $1500. (for 21.2” x 30” size) which I will accept. THE NUMBER OF PRINTS FOR ALL SIZES COMBINED IS 3 TOTAL; no matter which size prints happen to be purchased first, only 3 prints TOTAL FOR ALL SIZES COMBINED will be made.

Ken Lerner is a ionate photographic artist, born into a family of renowned photographers. He began taking photos at the age of 6, using a camera given to him by his father. But he was not interested in simply reproducing real life moments. His vision was more subjective and he sought to project an internal reality of that moment.

At the beginning of his career, he almost exclusively created images with multiple exposures. This gave a complex structure to the images and represented a subjective view of the world. In the 2010s, after working in financial product sales, he returned to photography producing only single exposure images. Even though they were less structurally complex, they still represented a subjective view of the world, being almost totally abstract. Ken works extensively with reflective surfaces such as water, glass and metal.

A lover of the beauty of nature, Ken Lerner paints and photographs a lot of landscapes and seascapes. He is interested in presenting different possibilities of representing "nature" and often produces many variations of an image with different colors, shades, contrasts and saturations.
