Sacrifices were made in the labyrinth as part of reparations either to Poseidon or Athena, depending on the version of the myth. Michael E. Voss is a contemporary American artist. His work serves as a powerful conduit for revealing the beauty that surrounds us, inspiring joy, and stirring the world from complacency. With a profound commitment to his craft, he aspires to evoke comion and empathy, igniting a transformation in the hearts of humanity towards greater goodness.

In his art, Michael directs attention to the hidden, labels falsehoods that lurk in the shadows, and tears away the blinds that obscure truth and beauty. He endeavors to shed light on ignorance, injustice, intolerance, and inequity perpetuated by societal facades, unveiling the raw realities beneath.

Michael's artistic mission extends beyond the canvas as he aims to engage his viewers in critical dialogues that nurture human dignity, champion social justice, advocate for global equality, and prioritize planetary health. His art is a catalyst for meaningful discussions that hold the potential to effect positive change.

In the pursuit of self-preservation, Michael E. Voss channels subconscious imagery from within, allowing it to flow freely and nurturing self-forgiveness through his creative expression.

His artistic journey reflects a unique blend of influences, drawing inspiration from both the wisdom of old masters and the innovation of contemporary artists, as well as the realms of mythology and psychology. While he has received formal training in the sight/size realism technique, Michael's artistic spirit thrives on experimentation, often crafting his own tools to explore new methods and avenues of creative expression.
