Mariaceleste Arena, born in 1993 in Italy, lives and works in her native country where she explores various artistic mediums with a predilection for digital art, watercolor on paper and acrylic on canvas. His artistic style is characterized by abstraction and surrealism, drawing inspiration in particular from Outsider Art, Futurism, Cubism, Surrealism and Romanticism. Mariaceleste developed her ion for art at a young age, which led her to pursue in-depth studies in the field of painting. She graduated from Laurea di Primo Livello en Pittura in Reggio Calabria in 2023, having previously completed her Diplôme di Maturità in Messina in Sicily in 2013.
His creative process is deeply introspective and emotional. Through her works, she expresses abstract concepts and surreal worlds where shapes come to life and seem to have their own existence. Mariaceleste often explores themes linked to territorial identity and animal symbolism, in particular through representations of anthropomorphic animals, mainly elephants, which carry deep meanings linked to her cultural and personal environment.
She also finds inspiration in her dreams, her fears and her emotions, which she materializes with a unique artistic sensitivity. Insects, often used as symbols in her works, represent for her positive emotions or complex feelings that she seeks to explore visually. Mariaceleste Arena continues to enrich the contemporary artistic landscape in Italy with her evocative creations and profound artistic explorations, captivating viewers with her ability to translate the intangible into visual art.
