Born in a region of the Middle Atlas in Morocco, I was drawn to drawing and painting from a young age, despite the lack of opportunities for artistic learning. The natural beauty of this region and the warmth and generosity of its inhabitants, especially in rural areas, have always been an endless source of inspiration for me, even though I had to set aside brushes and pencils during my years of study and the beginning of my professional career ( see more infos about my artworks and their availability on my personal website).

During my further studies in Geneva since 2002, the interaction with artists from various disciplines and the cosmopolitan nature of this city allowed me to reconnect with my artistic inclination and enrich it.

Before embarking on an artistic project, I deeply reflect on the symbolic meaning of my choice and how it could emotionally impact those who contemplate it. Viewed from an anthropological perspective, this approach greatly helps to transcend any simplistic and ephemeral representation of what pertains to realism.
