The painting “Reflection of Inner Light” is made of papier-mâché, acrylic, gold leaf and varnished. It is an abstract image of a face against a dark, rough background reminiscent of the surface of ancient stone. The face is created in a minimalist style: two eyes outlined with circles of gold leaf radiate warmth and radiance, symbolizing inner wisdom and spiritual awakening. The nose and contours of the face are outlined with silver leaf, adding a cool, moonlit glow that contrasts with the warm accents. The lips, also highlighted with gold leaf, give the work sensuality and vitality. The background covered with black acrylic creates depth, and the varnish protects the texture and highlights the play of light on the surface. The painting reflects the inner radiance of the soul, where the gold elements symbolize solar energy, creativity and abundance, and the silver ones symbolize lunar intuition, calm and connection with the higher. The use of papier-mâché gives the work an organic quality, as if it were growing out of natural materials, reminding us of the cyclical nature of life. “Reflection of Inner Light” is a meditation on the theme of inner balance, where light and darkness, the material and the spiritual merge into a harmonious unity.
