“Enigma in Blue ” is my tribute to the beauty and mystery of Cyprus. I wanted to capture the feeling of vast open skies, glowing city lights, and the connection between nature and urban life. The deep blues remind me of the endless ocean and night sky, and gold tones bring the energy of the land and city together. The structures in the painting feel like they are floating, just like how memories and dreams blend together. This artwork is about movement, imagination, and seeing the world in a way that feels both real and unreal at the same time.

Olga McNamara is a contemporary artist based in Ireland, originally from Uzbekistan, a country known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant energy. Her artistic journey began at an early age, inspired by the natural world and its endless colors and forms. Growing up in Uzbekistan, she was captivated by the beauty of her surroundings, which seemed to echo within her, compelling her to express this wonder on canvas. To her, the beauty of the world around her needed to be poured onto a canvas, or else it would become overwhelming.

Olga's ion for painting was evident throughout her life. During her university years, her lecture notes were filled with sketches, depicting candid illustrations of student life. These spontaneous creations were so cherished by her friends that they became souvenirs of their shared experiences, further cementing her desire to chronicle the world around her.

Her artistic path took a significant turn when she moved to Cyprus, where she studied under the guidance of the brilliant artist Miho Ebanoidze. This mentorship allowed Olga to hone her skills, particularly through plein air painting, where she captured the Mediterranean landscape's vibrant energy. The interplay of light and shadow, and the beauty of everyday scenes, became central to her work. During this period, she participated in her first group and solo exhibitions, launched her online store, and made her first sales both locally and globally. Each new milestone was a blend of excitement and self-discovery, solidifying her identity as an artist and reinforcing art as an essential part of her being.

Relocating to Ireland marked another pivotal moment in Olga's artistic development. Immersed in the ethereal beauty of the Irish landscapes, she transitioned into abstract expressionism. This shift was both emotional and artistic, as each new piece became a conversation without words, evoking not only visual appeal but emotional resonance. Through this exploration, Olga delves deeper into the world and herself, continuously discovering new facets of her artistic expression.

Today, Olga McNamara remains an active member of Visual Artists Ireland and a participant in international art exhibitions. She has received numerous awards and has been featured in various art publications. Her art continues to evolve, guided by the belief that it is a manifestation of love, joy, and a celebration of the human spirit.
