In 1996, the foundations were laid for a series of works called "Bogatyrs", which opens with compositions inspired by the exploits of Ilya Muromets and Dobrynya Nikitich. This project was conceived as a logical continuation of the previous work of the artist Nikolai Sednin, who in the period from 1993 to 1995 was engaged in the creation of a cycle based on the letters of the Old Russian alphabet in the framework of the project "Russian Alphabet". It is thanks to this project that stories about heroes have received a new breath and development. Some time later, in 2005, at the initiative of the leadership of the International Foundation for Slavic Writing and Culture in Moscow, the artist resumed work on the cycle. During the year, 26 graphic compositions were created, which became a tribute to the heroes of Ancient Russia, reviving their exploits and stories. The cycle "Heroes" enriched the cultural heritage, presenting historical figures and literary heroes in a new light. The project not only revives interest in ancient Russian heroic tales, but also demonstrates the enduring values of Slavic culture for future generations.
