Self-taught, Séverine has been painting since childhood. Her parents encouraged her in her artistic practice by gradually offering her different sets of mediums and thus satisfied her curiosity. His first visit to the Musée d'Orsay, in Paris, in 1986, was a revelation. With euphoria, she fell into the world of the Impressionists. She rushed to make reproductions of certain works by V. Van Gogh then P. Gauguin in oil paint. She explored oil pastels with A. Derain, E. Degas, C. Monet and E. Manet. Then she was drawn to it for the texture.
Today, she has turned to acrylic and mixed media, using textured elements, collected during travels, in search of sharing and discoveries of different cultures. She mixes mediums, searches for new effects, new motifs, incorporates into her painting the artistic and artisanal culture of the world around us. The bright, warm colors are the revelation of his joie de vivre. The variety of his productions is the symbol of his thirst for new challenges, new artistic adventures...
She exhibited in Paris in 2017 at the Artshopping show, then in 2018, in Montmorency (Montmartre in Montmorency), in Eaubonne at the Mézières gallery (Cactus mania exhibition) then recently in Ermont during the ARAMI show (edition on the theme of tear).
