Après des études de piano, de chant et d’art lyrique au Conservatoire de Luxembourg, Hélène Rivière a chanté à l'opéra, en tant qu'artiste lyrique pendant de nombreuses années, en , mais aussi à l'étranger dans le grand répertoire allemand et italien. Parallèlement, elle a fait des études d'histoire de l'Art à Nancy et poursuivi en autodidacte l'étude de la Peinture et de la sculpture.

La peinture à l'huile- son medium favori- lui permet d'exalter les couleurs et les formes de mondes imaginaires oniriques. Par le jeu des glacis et du grattage, HelenGi recherche avant tout une esthétique sensorielle et sculpte la toile pour y faire apparaitre la lumière et la transparence. Les thèmes très classiques des débuts (paysages, marines, portraits) ont cédé la place aux œuvres abstraites, contemplatives, dans lesquelles le regard du spectateur peut cheminer et s’immerger dans une nouvelle dimension introspective. La peinture d’HelenGi invite à se connecter à son propre espace de rêve et d’introspection.
Les œuvres de sculpture d'HelenGi allient puissance et souplesse, puisent leurs lignes de force à la source des arts premiers et de la statuaire antique. HelenGi invente une nouvelle forme de visage, crée ainsi une métamorphose du corps humain dans un monde illusoire et inconnu. Certaines de ses sculptures hybrides plongent dans le verre en une esthétique épurée et invite à réfléchir sur leur interprétation symbolique et sur le concept de l’identité.
