Jan Stokfisz Delarue was born in 1950, in Poland, where he graduated from the the Faculty of Fine Arts in Toruń, Nicolaus Copernicus University, and then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. In 1977 he moved to and he painted there for 30 years.
