Pixillated 6a11g7 is an abstraction of a tiny tiny part of another abstract image in the Geometric Series, which I enlarged greatly intending to expose the grid-like array of the pixels in the image - but the actual grain of the image was so fine, that even at the huge enlargement, the image still had flowing amorphous shapes, which to me resembled a figure looking out at the strange sky of an alien planet (though I decided to still keep it titled as one of the pixillated series)

Ken Lerner is a ionate photographic artist, born into a family of renowned photographers. He began taking photos at the age of 6, using a camera given to him by his father. But he was not interested in simply reproducing real life moments. His vision was more subjective and he sought to project an internal reality of that moment.

At the beginning of his career, he almost exclusively created images with multiple exposures. This gave a complex structure to the images and represented a subjective view of the world. In the 2010s, after working in financial product sales, he returned to photography producing only single exposure images. Even though they were less structurally complex, they still represented a subjective view of the world, being almost totally abstract. Ken works extensively with reflective surfaces such as water, glass and metal.

A lover of the beauty of nature, Ken Lerner paints and photographs a lot of landscapes and seascapes. He is interested in presenting different possibilities of representing "nature" and often produces many variations of an image with different colors, shades, contrasts and saturations.
