Vera Saiko is een hedendaagse Canadese kunstenaar. De kunstenaar maakt graag schilderijen en tekeningen van mensen, landschappen en bloemen. De klassieke Russische tekenschool is duidelijk zichtbaar in haar houtskool- en pasteltekeningen. Maar haar schilderijen wijken duidelijk af van het traditionalisme. Ze combineert levendige tinten met noordelijk minimalisme, geïnspireerd door de Group of Seven en de majesteit van het Canadian Shield. Ze meet precies de relatie tussen kleur en de vorm en grootte van het medium.
Vera Saiko geeft les aan het wereldberoemde Sheridan College, waar ze afstudeerde aan Fine Arts and Design-programma's, na een formele tekenopleiding te hebben gevolgd in Rusland en Oekraïne. Ze is lid van de Ontario Society of Artists, Mississauga Art Society en Visual Arts Mississauga.
