Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

This is abstract painting on canvas. I'm currently creating a new series of paintings about solar system. I'm inspired by the structure of Jupiter's Moons. This one was inspired by the surface of the satellite called Iocaste. It is a retrograde irregular satellite of Jupiter. It was discovered by a team of astronomers from the University of Hawaii led by Scott S. Sheppard in 2000. It was named in October 2002 after Jocasta, the mother/wife of Oedipus in Greek mythology. Iocaste belongs to the Ananke group, believed to be the remnants of a break-up of a captured heliocentric asteroid. I have used various techniques to create a highly textured abstract piece. I very much enjoyed painting process, because it gave me a lot of room to experiment. I also discovered some new features of materials that I used. It is mixed-media painting in heavy impasto with acrylic paints and plastic. I use only top quality art materials. Finest quality high grade professional acrylic paints and gallery quality canvas. Finished with a glaze of UV varnish to protect against sunlight and dust damage. The colors may look a little bit different depending on the screen. An artwork is signed on the back. Original title is written on the back. A signed Certificate Of Authenticity will be included with the artwork.

Pamela Rys was born in Czestochowa, Poland in 1987 and currently lives and works in London, United Kingdom. Pamela pursued studies in fine art painting, design in visual communication and fashion design. She received her M.F.A. in 2017.
