The title is as enigmatic as the shape of the highly reflective polished bronze. It is a composition that is at the same time both resonant and deeply personal. It invites contemplation and is open to endless interpretations, memories and stories, each unique to the person encountering the sculpture.

All The Rivers has a presence that interacts with the space it occupies.

The smooth polished bronze dynamically reflects light and the surroundings.

The bronze is not protected by lacquer and will dull down over time. The graphite grey backplate is easily removed so that the bronze can be cleaned. If necessary the bronze can also be removed from the burr oak base.

Fissures in the burr oak are filled with resin bound, reclaimed bronze dust.

Philip Hearsey is a contemporary British sculptor. Hearsey is driven by an instinctive impulse to advance at his own pace and focus on building things, rather than engaging in certain theories. He uses his expertise in sandcasting to create sculptures that engage the quality of bronze as a noble material in and of itself, transforming observations and visualizations into three-dimensional realities. Hearsey's work is distinguished by its brilliant simplicity, fascinating designs, and tactile feel.

Philip Hearsey was born in 1946, in the UK. His sculptures are held in private and corporate collections across the globe.

The Artist was highlighted in an article in ArtMajeur Magazine:
