Vito Antonio Mastrorocco, born in Bari in 1951, is a contemporary Italian artist known for his diverse artistic career spanning over five decades. Currently residing and working in Versilia, Mastrorocco completed his artistic studies as a ceramist and bas-relief artist, training with notable sculptors Giorgio Ferretti of Florence, Antonio Bibbò of Bari, and Maestro Amerigo Tot of Rome. He attended lessons during his years at the Academy of Fine Arts, which helped shape his multidisciplinary approach.

Mastrorocco has taught at the Liceo Artistico of Carrara, and since the 1990s, at its Lucca branch, where he specialized in teaching Anatomy and Plastic Disciplines. His artistic oeuvre covers a wide range of mediums, including bronze, marble, terracotta, cement, resin, and wax. His works often reflect a deep connection to art history, integrating lines, shapes, and geometries in both figurative and abstract forms. His craftsmanship extends to hyper-realistic sculptures through plaster casting of the human body.

In addition to sculpture, Mastrorocco is an accomplished painter, primarily using oil techniques, and a designer, graphic artist, and landscape artist. His talents have also contributed to theatrical scenography, particularly with the Carretto di Lucca theater company. His sculptural works can be found in private and public collections throughout Italy and internationally, in countries such as England, , Belgium, Holland, and the United States. He has exhibited in prestigious cities, including Milan, Florence, Hong Kong, and New York.

Among his notable achievements, Mastrorocco won the 2014 National Competition announced by the Ministry of Transport for a large marble bas-relief at the Coast Guard headquarters in Livorno. In 2016, he also won a National Competition in Aosta for a bronze bas-relief for the Fire Brigade Barracks. His long career reflects his dedication to continuous experimentation and artistic innovation.
