Yuriy Musatov, born in 1981, is a Ukrainian artist based in Spain, renowned for his contributions to contemporary art and ceramics. Between 2012 and 2024, Musatov held 20 solo exhibitions, including notable projects such as My Explosion at Kahan Art Space in Budapest, Hungary, and Invasion at Triptych: Global Arts Workshop in Kyiv, Ukraine.
His artistic journey has also included participation in over 100 group exhibitions worldwide. Highlights include the XVI International Ceramic Biennial in Manises, Spain, where he received the Second Prize; Phoenix Rising, a group exhibition of Ukrainian contemporary art at Forsa Contemporary Art Gallery in London; and Migration(s) at Musée Ariana – Swiss Museum for Ceramics and Glass in Geneva, Switzerland. Other significant events include the Yingge IAC ’ Exhibition in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and biennials in Esplugues, Spain, and Aveiro, Portugal.
Over the past seven years, Musatov’s ceramic artworks have been acquired by prestigious museums and collections, including Musée Ariana in Switzerland, the Ceramics Museum in Ludwigsburg, , the FuLe International Ceramic Art Museum (FLICAM), and several national cultural institutions in Europe and Asia.
Yuriy Musatov continues to make an impact on the global art scene with his innovative and expressive works, leaving a lasting legacy in the field of contemporary ceramics and beyond.
